Lamb chops and mash

L (1)

What would you like for dinner?

Is a question frequently asked

The most likely answer from himself

Is ‘How about lamb chops and mash’?

He doesn’t like spaghetti

He’s not mad about pork

A bowl of stew is too awkward

To eat with a knife and fork

He said I cook chicken so often

He should be spitting feathers

But he does like a curry

When we’ve family get togethers

Sundays are no problem

I usually do roast beef

But I don’t dare use garlic

Or he’ll only give me grief

I used to make one dinner a day

Everyone ate the same

But now they are more fussy

It’s such a bleedin’ pain

‘I don’t eat liver’ ‘I don’t eat fish’

‘You know I don’t eat chips anymore’

As they drop their bags and sniff the air

The minute Β they come in the door

Everyday I have to wrack my brains

  • Wondering what to cook

I should be like me friend Bernie

She doesn’t give a fuck

‘They have two choices in this house’

Is what she always says to me

‘They can take or they can leave it’

I’m starting to agree
