City ( Dublin)

Hapenny Bridge at night

In Dublin’s Fair City, where the girls are so pretty, and the lads are always on the pull. North, south, east or west. Dublin city is the best. I don’t believe in the cultural divide.Dublin is my City. So Alive Alive-O. The best place to be for a night with friends. I’ll always be proud to be a Dub.  🙂

Temple Bar 2

Fair City

Head to Temple bar, down cobbled streets

Singing along to distant beats

From basement night clubs crammed with bodies swaying

People enjoying city life and staying

For the weekend in Dublin city

Where the girls are so pretty

Teetering in high heels

For pints in O’Neill’s

Tapping on their mobile phone

On streets where once walked Molly Malone

She didn’t own Manolos or Jimmy Choos

Impractical and expensive shoes

Not designed for walking very far

Only meant for car to bar

They’re all so Alive Alive O

As they go with the flow

Drinking shots and fat frogs

Not Guinness and hair of the dog

Like back in Joyce’s day

I can almost hear the cry

Of Ulysses

At their sophisticated ways.
